Welcome to Chuja ("chuja - Photos On This Day"). By downloading or using our app, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Chuja mobile application ("App"), developed by Remmy (bundle ID: com.remmy.chuja), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Chuja is a "Photos On This Day" memory app that surfaces photos from the current date in previous years so you can revisit and declutter your library. The App:
- Surfaces photos from today's date in previous years from your camera roll
- Allows you to swipe through photos and choose which to keep or delete
- Provides a delete cart for batch photo removal
- Tracks your daily review streak
- Operates entirely on your device — no photos are ever uploaded
3. Permissions
Chuja requests the following device permissions:
- Photo Library (Read): To find and display memories from this day in previous years. Your photos are never uploaded — everything stays on your device.
- Photo Library (Write/Delete): To delete photos you choose to remove from your library. No photos are sent to the cloud.
- Notifications: To send daily reminder notifications to review your memories. Scheduled locally on your device.
Chuja does not request access to your camera, location, contacts, microphone, or any other device capabilities.
4. Privacy & Data
Chuja operates entirely on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your photos or personal data. The only external communication is with RevenueCat for subscription validation — no user photos or personal data are transmitted in this process. RevenueCat uses anonymous app user IDs with no link to your identity. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
5. Photo Deletion
When you choose to delete photos through Chuja, the deletion is handled by your device's operating system (iOS). Deleted photos are moved to the "Recently Deleted" album where they can be recovered for up to 30 days. iOS will display a system confirmation dialog before any deletion occurs — this cannot be bypassed. Chuja is not responsible for any unintended photo deletions. Please review your delete cart carefully before confirming.
6. Eligibility
Chuja is rated 4+ on the App Store as it contains no objectionable content. By using the App, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms, or that a parent or guardian has agreed on your behalf.
7. Subscriptions & Payments
Chuja offers the following subscription plans for "Chuja Pro":
- Monthly: $3.99/month
- Annual: $19.99/year (includes a 3-day free trial)
Subscriptions are managed through Apple's App Store and processed via RevenueCat. By subscribing:
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings (Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions)
- Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription
- Chuja does not have access to your payment information or Apple ID
8. User Accounts
Chuja does not require or support user accounts. There is no sign-in, registration, or authentication. Subscription status is managed anonymously through RevenueCat using device-level identifiers.
9. Intellectual Property
The Chuja app, including its design, code, graphics, and branding, is owned by Remmy and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the App.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
Chuja is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chuja and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of photos or data.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
